Via interacting with this book, audiences can experience the joy of “Midnight Vortex” — an artwork created by artist Jing Zhao in 2019. Its purple cover sets the tone for the night. The addition of the decryption card brings a mystical aura to the texts in the book. The double-stapled inner page allows the text and image contents to be freely intertwined and matched, leading to some unexpected intertextual narration. There is no chapter in this photo book. What it has are the sporadic materials that are made of 24 dreams and 30 photographs. They use their own rhythm to envelop audiences into a fantasy-like journey without a beginning or end.
