Oops, Screens Lodging in the Flesh
Photography series, 2014
The increasingly growing social media, the dilution of personal charm. A person can be multi-faceted, some are virtual while others are real. The relationships become obscure. In this evolution, "image" counts. Through images, I construct the ridiculous and voracious "us". This series of works is intended to show the impact of social media on the recognition of each other. The artist asked her friends to be volunteers. During filming, she collected representative personal pictures of themselves that they uploaded to social media, and showed them on mobile phones, computers, iPad, and other communication tools.
