Photography series, 2014
The increasingly growing social media, the dilution of personal charm. A person can be multi-faceted, some are virtual while others are real. The relationships become obscure. In this evolution, "image" counts. Through images, I construct the ridiculous and voracious "us".
This series of works is intended to show the impact of social media on the recognition of each other. I asked my friends to be volunteers. Before filming, I collected representative personal pictures of themselves that they uploaded to social networking, and showed them on mobile phones, computers, iPad and other communication tools. When shooting, I put them with the person together to complete the shot put. Through images, I construct the ridiculous and voracious "us".
